NEW RECRUITS - TEAM OF THE WEEK

Captained by Jon Reuben, this group of friends have been playing in local leagues for a number of years, a great understanding between the lot of them which shows on the pitch. The squad has a 100% record so far in the league with 3 Wins out of 3.

MEET THE SQUAD - REUBEN FC
  • Captained by Jon Rueben - Jon is the wizard of organisation with multiple WhatsApp groups in order to get this lot in order. Gent on and off the pitch.
  • Samuel Kelly - Self proclaimed ladies´ man and a skills man on the pitch.
  • Kenan Nderede - Big talker on and off the pitch, our General Manager had to put him on mute after 5 minutes standing next to him on the side line.
  • Ardit Ndoka - Quickest feet in the team and more stopovers then Ronaldinho.
  • Sean Mayende - It's always the quite ones who put in the toughest tackles, great box to box player.
  • Shyiem Gilbert - Needs to remember to set his stop watch as he has been late to every game. Solid performances once he shows up.
THURSDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS

REUBEN FC v ALL-STAR

Game 1 of the night witnessed Reuben FC take on All-stars.

All-stars have recruited some new talent to their squad which will need to take a bit of time for the entire squad to gel, The first half showed some great goals and performances from both sides with Rueben going in to the break with a narrow margin.

The 2nd half proved a very different story with Reuben FC coming out of the tracks faster than a whippet at the dog track. Early goals in the 2nd half meant All-stars head and discipline on defending dropped which Reuben FC showed no mercy in slotting in the goals.

Reubens win 15 - 4       Star man: Sean Mayende

EEFC v RUES CAKES

The 9pm Fixtures has Romans FC take on Chapman FC in the best fixture of the night.

Dion Chapman from Chapman FC had the guys down very early for team briefing and drills which proved beneficial as Chapman FC started the game on the front foot with some early goals to settle the match.

The Tricksters from Romans proved their worth with some great individual goals all throughout the match. However Chapman FC held on and slotted away some late goals to put some distance between them and Romans in order to come out 15-10 winners.Romans win 15 - 10
